Widemouth Bay
Widemouth Bay is a broad Atlantic-facing beach just south of Bude, where a long sweep of sand meets open north Cornwall countryside and a rugged coastal edge. The bay is known for its expansive horizon, strong surf and the sense of space created by its wide shoreline.
At the southern end, the sand gives way to Black Rock Beach and bands of exposed rock that become especially striking as the tide falls. The South West Coast Path links Widemouth with Bude to the north, opening far-reaching views across the bay and along the coast.
