Mawgan Porth — Low Tide Colour (Wed 8 April 2026)
Captured on Wednesday 8 April 2026, this head-on aerial was flown from out at sea, looking straight into Mawgan Porth with the beach and village in one frame. It was low tide, so the sand is fully exposed and the shoreline reads wide and open, with the sea holding strong colour and the grassy cliff sides giving a clean, bright edge to the bay.
Mawgan Porth sits on Cornwall’s north coast a few miles north of Newquay, at the point where the River Menalhyl reaches the sea, and it’s known for being a broad sandy beach backed by dunes and cliffs.
A simple, information-rich coastal view: full beach at low water, vivid spring colour, and the village set clearly behind it.
