Constantine Bay — High Tide Sunset Calm

Captured on 20 April 2026, this inland view looks out over Constantine Bay to the Atlantic at high tide. Constantine sits on the St Merryn stretch of north Cornwall—wide sand, dune edges and open horizon—usually a place you associate with movement in the water.

This evening is the opposite. The sea is almost completely flat, with just a faint skin of texture catching the light. That near-still surface turns the bay into a soft reflector for the sunset colour, while the tiny ripples add just enough detail to keep it feeling real. Calm, minimal, and unusually quiet for an Atlantic-facing beach.

Photo size note: the selected A-size is the final print size. Borderless prints use the full area for the photograph. With the 15mm border option, the white border is included within the final print size, so the image area is slightly smaller.
