Daymer Bay — Doom Bar and Polzeath (April 2026)
Captured in April 2026 at low tide, this aerial looks north-west across Daymer Bay, with Polzeath visible in the distance and the Doom Bar holding the centre of the frame. As the tide drops, the sandbar becomes much more defined, revealing the shifting shapes and patterns that make the mouth of the Camel Estuary so distinctive from above.
The water shows a beautiful range of colour, from pale shallows over the sand to deeper blues in the channel, with the exposed sandbanks adding extra texture and structure to the scene. A clear, expansive view of one of North Cornwall’s most recognisable estuary landscapes, shaped by tide, colour, and the changing form of the sand.
