Daymer Bay to Stepper Point — Atlantic Rain Clouds at Sunset (12 March 2026)

Captured on 12 March 2026, this aerial is taken from the south-east side of Daymer Bay, looking north-west out toward the Atlantic. Daymer Bay sits right by the mouth of the Camel Estuary, opposite Padstow, and is known for being comparatively sheltered at higher tide with shallower water close in.

The sky is doing the heavy lifting here: dark, rain-loaded cloud sits over the ocean while a band of yellow/orange sunset glows behind it. In the distance you can see clearer “curtains” of rain offshore, with lighter patches breaking through between showers. Stepper Point is visible in front of the Atlantic as a clear headland marker, the same headland that marks the entrance to the Camel Estuary.
