Captured on 12 March 2026, this aerial looks north along the coast from Fistral Beach toward Watergate Bay. Fistral is Newquay’s best-known surf beach: a west-northwest facing, ~750 m long sandy beach backed by steep dunes, bounded by Towan Head to the north and Pentire Point East to the south. Conditions here are classic early spring: a very bright sunrise with a light haze softening the distance rather than making it milky, and surf that’s large and energetic, but not perfectly groomed—lines are there, with a bit of bump and texture on the surface and wider bands of whitewater moving through sets. Up the coast, Watergate Bay is a long, exposed Atlantic beach flanked by high cliffs, with close to two miles of sand and a reputation for picking up plenty of swell.

Giclée printed on 350gsm bright white textured poly-cotton canvas, hand-stretched over a 22mm-deep wooden frame. Supplied ready to hang with saw-tooth fixings.
The full A-series photograph stays on the front. Its outer edges are mirrored around the sides, preserving the composition on the face. The selected size is the canvas face size.
