Cornwall coastal wall art

Newquay

Newquay is often thought of as Cornwall’s surf capital, but from above it becomes something more layered: harbour, town beaches, headlands, tidal sand, surf breaks and the long line of coastline from Fistral towards Watergate Bay.

The town’s working-sea history is still visible at Towan Head, where the Huer’s Hut overlooks the bay. Huers watched for pilchard shoals and used cries such as “Heva, Heva” to call fishing crews into action. That old fishing lookout sits in sharp contrast with modern Newquay’s surf culture, especially around Fistral, widely recognised as the home of British surfing.

These aerial prints capture Newquay’s energy from a calmer perspective: the harbour at low tide, town beaches, surf lines, headlands and morning light over the bay. A strong choice for surf homes, offices, holiday accommodation and anyone with a connection to Newquay.
