About this photograph

I started this flight over the Pepper Pot at Portreath at about twenty-five past ten on 6 November, and the first thing I turned the camera to was the cove next door. Gooden Heane Cove (some maps call it Rankine Cove) sits under huge, sheer cliffs just north-east of the harbour. There is no way down from the coast path, so you only really reach it by boat or kayak.

The contrast in the water was beautiful: pale turquoise over the sand in the cove, deep blue everywhere else, and dark rocks scattered across the mouth with the swell breaking around them. Along the cliff top are the fields of Nancekuke and the white radar dome of RRH Portreath, and further up the coast you can pick out the sand at Porthtowan and Chapel Porth, the Wheal Coates engine houses on the cliff and St Agnes Head.

It comes in every size from A4 to A0: unframed, framed in black, oak-effect or white, or on canvas.

The same photograph is also made as a fridge magnet (£6.99) and an A5 greeting card.

Commercial use: licence this image for your business from £95.

“Fantastic — my print has pride of place in my office. Delivery was fast and carefully packaged; I would order again without hesitation.”
