Polzeath — Beach and Camel Estuary Context (14 June 2026)
Captured on 14 June 2026, this aerial was taken from the north side of Polzeath, looking back over the beach and down the Camel Estuary. From this angle, Polzeath is shown not just as an Atlantic-facing beach, but as part of the wider estuary landscape, with the coastline opening out toward Daymer, Rock and Padstow beyond.
The beach is busy in the summer sun, with strong blues in the water and clear visibility across the estuary. It’s a useful perspective because it shows the geography that is easy to miss from the sand: Polzeath sitting at the edge of the Camel Estuary, where open coast, beach and sheltered water all meet.
