Towan Headland & Newquay Bay — Low Tide Colour (4 May 2026)
Captured on 4 May 2026 at low tide, this aerial looks across Towan Headland in Newquay, with the town beaches stretching out in the background. Towan Head is the rocky point that separates Fistral from the main run of Newquay beaches, so from this angle the coastline layers together naturally, giving the image a strong sense of place.
The weather was mixed, with shifting light and patchy cloud, but the sea still comes through beautifully with rich turquoise tones showing in the shallows and along the edges of the bay. Low tide adds extra detail to the shoreline, while the combination of headland, beaches and changing conditions gives the scene depth and character. A bright, coastal image defined by colour, contrast, and the layered geography of Newquay Bay.
