About this photograph

I wanted this wider view of Godrevy Lighthouse to show the island’s isolation, looking out to sea with blue water stretching around it.

White waves outline the rocks beneath a small tower and a long, pale horizon. Built in 1859, the lighthouse was manned until 1934, when an automatic light replaced the keepers.

The full-resolution photograph is printed on Invercote photographic card, with a clean white border around this A5 card (148 × 210 mm). The open blue sea makes it a thoughtful card for someone drawn to remote islands and lighthouses.

Each card is one of my original aerial photographs of Cornwall, printed by me in North Cornwall on Invercote card with a clean white border. Blank inside, with a white envelope and a clear protective sleeve.
