I took this looking north from Hayle on a beautiful, sunny late-autumn day. The wind was brisk and offshore, the surf lines were wonderfully clean, and there were lots of surfers out.
The river mouth cuts through rippled sand in the foreground, with blue sea and white waves stretching up the beach past Gwithian to Godrevy. The lighthouse is small but clear in the distance.
Printed from my full-resolution photograph on Invercote photographic card, this A5 card (148 × 210 mm) keeps the fine surf lines and colours of the water clear, with a clean white border. A lovely one for someone who would rather be out in the waves at Gwithian.
