I photographed this from Porthkidney with the tide between mid and low, when the exposed sand makes the bay feel enormous.
The view crosses the Hayle Estuary mouth and follows the beaches towards distant Godrevy Lighthouse. Across the river, the Hayle-to-Godrevy stretch is about three miles of beach at low tide.
