Duporth Beach
Duporth Beach is a sheltered sand-and-pebble cove on Cornwall’s south coast, lying between Charlestown and Porthpean in St Austell Bay. The beach sits beneath wooded cliffs and coastal homes, with clear water opening towards the wider bay and St Austell rising inland.
The local name is recorded in Cornish as Dew Borth, meaning “two coves”. Its two-part shoreline and rocky edges form a quieter link between Charlestown’s historic harbour and the neighbouring beach at Porthpean.
