Trevone Bay

Trevone Bay sits near the northern end of the Seven Bays, close to Padstow, with a sandy main beach, rocky foreshore and cliff walks towards Harlyn and Stepper Point.

Its most distinctive feature is the Round Hole, a collapsed sea cave on the headland to the right of the beach. From ground level it feels sudden and strange; from above it becomes part of a wider geological story of caves, cliffs, rock platforms and the constant work of the Atlantic.

These aerial prints capture Trevone’s mix of beach, rock and cliff detail: golden sand, clear water, Newtrain Bay, Round Hole, reef texture and the open coast towards Padstow. A strong choice for anyone who knows Trevone as a family beach, surf spot or regular coastal walk.

Where these Trevone Bay photographs are taken from

Most of the Trevone views here are flown from over the sea, looking back at the beach so the village, the reef and Round Hole sit in one frame. Others are taken from the Newtrain side to the north-east, where the tidal sea pool and the rock platforms of Newtrain Bay lead the eye along to Trevone's main beach, and one looks west across the bay towards Harlyn and Trevose Head with the Camel Estuary behind.

Tide, light and season

Trevone changes more with the tide than almost any beach on this coast. At peak low water the reef and the wider sand are fully exposed, which is when the bay's shape reads best from above. At high tide in settled summer weather the water goes a flat, clear turquoise over the dark reef, and that is what the June and July 2026 photographs show. The October sunrise images put warm light across the bay before anyone is on the beach.

Choosing a Trevone print

If you know Trevone as a family beach, the head-on summer views are the most recognisable. If Round Hole is the thing you remember, the sunrise and spring views from the headland side put the blowhole in the foreground. Every print is made to order as an unframed print, a framed print or a canvas in A-series sizes.
